Here at Summerhouse Services we are always promoting the fact that asking for help is a strength !
As a small not for profit organisation, we are just starting out and so we are going to practice what we preach and invite you to support us in any way you can, to help further our aim of promoting positive mental health for children and young people and those that inhabit their world.
All of our workers currently deliver and support other aspects of the organisation in a voluntary capacity and offer their time due to their passion and dedication towards this work.
We welcome and are very grateful for your support which can be in lots of different forms, whether that is by the donation of funds or a prize for our launch raffle in November, offers of equipment or resources for workshops (from paper clips to printers !) , buying a cake at one of our cake sales, or sponsoring us or joining in with of our events e.g. our Spoooooky Sponsored Summerhouse Litter Pick in Plymouth on 30th October , the offer of office space or a hot desk one or two days a week, or volunteering for us !
Our aim is that, in the not too distant future, with the combination of your help, our efforts and an optimistic outlook, we will be able to offer services at very low cost and ideally no cost, in particular the training and support that we offer within 'The Summerhouse', the children and young people's part of the organisation..
If you are interested in supporting us, please do not hesitate to get in touch to talk about how you would like to help.
We are already receiving support in different ways (See 'Our Big Thank You' Page) and we are also springing into action with fundraising events and activities and applications to various funding providers . Below is our fundraising thermometer that will give you an idea of how we are getting on ! We keep our targets achievable as we believe that taking 'baby steps' is the way forward as we develop and grow.
I am delighted to say that we have raised the following so far !
- £650.00 for our Cake Sale that we had in June !
- £97.32 On August Bank Holiday Monday when Colleen Harrington and her Off Key Singing Group did a 'Sing and Snack' session !
- £ 800.00 and counting from our Sponsored Beach Litter Pick in Cornwall in August !
Thank you so much for any help you might be able to give !
We look forward to hearing from you.
